My experience with Alex its great!
This is my first time doing exercise like this, and even though English is not my first language, Alex is very supportive. She explains everything very clearly, and makes sure I understand.
Alex is very friendly, and all her knowledge has been very useful to me so far.
Thanks Alex 🙂
From broken and written off to breaking personal bests and re-writing family records, Alex has seen me through a very frustrating time of my life and got me out the other side stronger, healthier and happier.
Previously all I would do is run.
I would convince myself and others that I was ‘fit’ and that I didn’t need to do other exercise because I was always running.
I also believed that because I ran a lot, I could eat whatever I wanted, and that diet was just marketing mojo.
Alex has got me fitter and stronger, and turned me into a more complete athlete and as a result, my body has never looked better. Alex was very honest about my diet but also listened to the reasons why it was the way it was without judging.
After a few months training, I have been working on several lifting PB’s and have shredded my half marathon time by nearly ten minutes (1:35:55 to 1:27:29).
I’m hoping that our continued work together will see me dip under the 19 min mark for 5k and lay down some new PB’s both on the track and in the squat rack!
After following Alex online for quite a while I finally got in contact with her after hearing about her online packages.
I decided to go for 12 weeks initially, and also couple that with some 121s as well. I loved it so much I’ve accidentally gone and bought another 10 weeks on top!
I wanted to train with Alex because I find her inspiring, and watching her make her own goals and get great success encouraged me to make my own.
Opening my bespoke training and nutrition programme for the first time had me gaping at the amount of food required for me to train. I had dieted before and lost a lot of weight, but wanted to go one step further and get as lean and as strong as possible for two fitness goals (an obstacle course and a charity white-collar boxing match).
The diets I’ve followed in the past cut calories, and whilst worked for a bit, I found I deviated slowly after. With Alex’s plan there’s a lot of food, and practically all of it doesn’t have labels on it.
Since starting my plan I’ve found I’m rarely hungry anymore, and the foods I eat make me appreciate how rubbish junk food really is and makes you feel! I’ve also become a much better cook because of it too, which is a bonus!
Coming on this journey with Alex has helped me learn so much about nutrition, as well as taking my weight training one stage further.
She’s been a constant support to me throughout via email and phone, and I see her in person every three weeks to train and learn new techniques.
Approachable and kind, she has a very can do attitude – I say I want to do something in my goals, she says “yep! Go for it!”
I’ve so far (8 weeks in) managed to lose over a stone and 2 inches (average) from each of my body measurement sites. I’m obviously very pleased with this, but I’m not finished yet…
I recommend Alex for anyone wanting a coach who can really drive you forward to achieving your goals.
Ladies (and gents), getting the body of your dreams, whether that entails losing fat, gaining muscle or prepping for a competition is bloody hard work and sends you doolallytap at the best of times, but if you put your body and long-term health in the hands of a trainer who is clueless / too big for their boots / taking on too many clients and dishing out identical cookie-cutter programmes / a combination of all of the above you’re on a one-way path to tanking both your metabolism and your bank balance with absolutely no fruit whatsoever.
Alex is without a shadow of a doubt the best coach I’ve ever worked with. Throughout the entirety of my 12 week competition prep, she lived in a different time zone to me and still managed to respond to any texts, emails, meltdowns within 90 seconds flat! The girl even went on a well- earned holiday and messaged me every day from her sun lounger to check how I was getting on for Pete’s sake! Not to mention that the day before my competition she was on call for 24 hours and counting, adjusting my plan depending on the photos I sent after each meal because I was flapping left, right and centre.
That is the commitment to her clients, ownership of her role and going seven extra miles that far too many trainers lack these days.
When you sign up with Alex, she wholeheartedly takes you on board, gives you every bit of advice and support in her arsenal and is with you every step of the way. If you have an off day or eat a few too many macros, she’ll get you back on track. If illness takes hold and you feel like someone’s put your head on backwards, she’ll be there at the drop of a hat to adjust things to what your body needs from you at that time.
She cares about your health and she cares about you. I trust this girl with my sixpack and my food, and I like both of these things more than my right hand so that’s saying an awful lot!
There’s not many people I stay in touch with after I’ve paid them for a service, but I now fully consider Alex a friend and will not hesitate in singing her praises to anyone who’ll listen.
Finding the motivation and drive to take that first step in your fitness journey and then summoning the self belief, willpower and dedication to stick it out until the end can be overwhelming and even daunting, but it can be a damn sight easier with the right person guiding and supporting you through it. Whether you’re a newbie in the gym and haven’t got a clue where to start or a regular wanting to switch things up, whether it’s training, nutrition, competition prep, losing weight, gaining weight, five giggles an hour, Alex couldn’t come with a higher recommendation.
I signed up with Alex for a 16 week prep to get me stage ready for my first competition for Miami Pro and all I can say is what an amazing lady!
Alex is a true professional, and her knowledge in nutrition and training make her a top class coach.
The 16 weeks of prep were extremely tough believe me, and Alex was there motivating me every step of the way. She managed my emotional ups and downs (and trust me there were many!) especially when going out and socialising over a few drinks is such a big part of who I am.
There were so many days I wanted to jack it all in! Alex would talk sense to me and rationalize my thoughts, but most of all she believed I could do it. She believed in me, and that went a long way, especially when my confidence was waving and I was feeling low. I was also never denied the odd treat or “cheat meal” which meant my competition prep was so much more enjoyable than some of the horror stories I had heard from other bikini competitiors!
On the training front, Alex made sure that I didn’t lose interest and I always looked forward to getting into the gym. I used weights and equipment in ways I didn’t even know were possible – giving amazing results with some of Alex’s secret techniques!
Just like Alex said I would, I started to see progress…
Alex was always there at the end of a phone call, text or Whats App spurring me on and encouraging me…My body fat started to drop and finally with her help, I got the six pack I always dreamed of!
If you have goals, whether it’s to lose weight, train for a marathon or (like me) step foot on stage as a bikini competitor, I couldn’t recommend Alex enough.
Thank you lovely lady x
Alex was recommended through a friend who had been working with her for 6 months, making a phenomenal change to his health, fitness and body composition.
I have to say it’s one of the best decisions I could’ve made! Over the past year of working with Alex I have seen major improvements in my strength and fitness as well as my body composition. I also finally know that lifting weights doesn’t constitute getting bulky, but has made me leaner and healthier.
Alex is one of the most supportive trainers and people you could ever hope to meet, providing guidance on diet as well as training, and lots of other helpful tips and tools in her weekly newsletters.
Alex makes training fun, I have learnt so much in the past year about how best to improve my health, and she continually goes above and beyond in her drive to help me achieve my fitness goals.
I’ve always been fairly active and had what I thought was a healthy diet, however since starting working with Alex over 6 months ago I have totally changed the way in which I train and eat.
Before, most of my training was cardio based: Aqua aerobics was a firm favourite, but I now train with weights at least 4 times a week, and I have even bought a set of hand weights to keep at home which I use when I can’t get to the gym.
Nutrition wise, Alex has shown me that in order to get results you don’t need to be cutting out food groups or restricting calories. It’s all about BALANCE, not faddy diets and being hungry all the time.
I eat lots of lean proteins, good fats and good carb sources and if I fancy the occasional chocolate bar or glass of wine then that’s fine too. This helps make it easier to stick to than a traditional “diet” as nothing is actually off limits. It’s more about timings, making sensible choices and consistency.
Alex also introduced me to the world of whey protein – and taught me the importance of having a shake after every workout. I also add a couple of scoops to my oats in the morning or add to a smoothie for an afternoon snack. I always thought protein shakes were only for muscled up bodybuilders, but I now realise what an important part they play in burning fat and gaining lean muscle, to make you look tighter and slimmer.
Health- wise, I have never felt better…I supplement with the best vitamins, minerals and fish oil in the world from a company called Usana. They come in handy little packets, which you can just chuck in your handbag, so there’s no forgetting to take them or lugging around hundreds of little bottles. Easy! I’m FULL of energy, I’m sleeping better, and even my skin looks better than it has in YEARS!
So all in all the last 6 months has totally revolutionised the way I look at both nutrition and exercise. Alex’s passion for health and fitness is contagious, motivating and inspiring and I’m fitter, healthier and look better than I have in years! Thank you Alex for your on going help and support. You’re BRILLIANT!
If you want someone who genuinely cares, and wants to help you with changing your body and mind, I could not recommend Alex highly enough. From your initial consultation she really looks to understand your goal, challenging you to think about the long term rather than a quick fix.
Alex is always able to motivate you whether you’ve had a long day at work or just don’t quite feel in the mood. Her method for my plan adapts to my likes and dislikes, is completely bespoke and don’t make me feel like I’m deprived of anything.
Regular updates ensure that fat loss is consistent and the exercises are tough and challenging, pushing me to me to get results and driving me to be better week on week.
I couldn’t be happier to have chosen Alex as my coach, and wouldn’t hesitate to say you should choose her too. She’s definitely worth it! From her breadth of knowledge to her personal touches, she’s always on hand to help and I can thank her enough for the massive changes she’s instilled in me.
